Client Support

POWER Clinic’s goal is to provide “Peace of Mind” to each and every one of the people who contact us for help in solving a problem. We realize that our customers aren’t companies….our customers are people who have a job to do and a boss or a customer to please. To that end, we strive to provide the highest levels of quality and service so that you, as the client, have the faith and confidence that, in trusting Power Clinic, you sent your mission critical components to the right vendor.

Quote Generation

Our web-based Quality/Operations system allows you the flexibility to start the repair process in two ways – you can receive quotes by calling us on the phone during business hours and you will ALWAYS speak with a Power Clinic associate (no voice mail or automated directory to suffer through). Or, you can generate quote requests through our website and we’ll quickly respond. If it’s a new unit for us, we may ask you to send it in for a free evaluation so we can provide an informed repair quote.

Repair and Testing

Every unit is assigned a unique barcode upon entry into our Quality/Operations system. All customer and PO information is captured and stored with this electronic ID. Prior to power up, a defined set of test procedures and O.E.M. specifications will be provided to the performing technician. Using this procedure, the technician determines the initial failure and records the components and actions needed to restore original operating specifications. The barcode also provides access to the Electronic Traveler where all repair and testing steps are documented, recorded, and stored for backup. After repair steps have been completed, the unit is powered up and tested under minimum, nominal, and full load conditions to insure compliance with customer specifications and the electronic traveler is updated by the performing test technician as having passed or failed.

Technical Library

Power Clinic has an extensive library of technical documentation and schematics to draw upon.

Return Prep and Packaging

Upon successful repair completion, final inspection is performed and the unit is prepped for return to the customer. Our shipping department is uncompromising in ensuring that your power supplies are packed and shipped in a manner which greatly reduces or eliminates the chance for damage to occur as the units come back to you . Power Clinic is environmentally responsible - we use only recycled paper packaging unless directed otherwise by customers.

Personnel Selection

We make it hard for someone to join the Power Clinic team. Technicians and engineers are subjected to a rigorous interview and testing process to ensure we hire only the most technically advanced and creative troubleshooters and problem solvers who can repair most power supplies without benefit of schematics. Client Support personnel are selected for personality, attention to detail and experience in customer service.

Continuous Improvement

Power Clinic actively seeks client input into improving our services and products to meet the challenges our clients face today and into the future.

Power Clinic Warranty and Return Statement

Most units repaired by Power Clinic carry a six month warranty on parts and workmanship from date of invoice. Exceptions will be handled on a case by case basis and noted in writing. Standard repairs consist of restoring the original operating parameters by replacing the bad part(s) needed to accomplish this objective. This type of repair is not recommended if the unit is convection cooled or running mission critical operations in a harsh or 24/7 environment.

Power Clinic also offers one year warranties on most refurbished power supplies. Typical refurbishments include all new aluminum electrolytic capacitors, fan(s), and whatever else is wrong with the unit. This type of warranty is a "bumper to bumper" comprehensive type that warranties your unit for any reason pertaining to the operation of the unit under normal circumstances. Refurbishments extend the life cycle of the power supply by several years, depending on unit environment.

If a repaired item fails, the unit must be shipped to us prepaid within the warranty period. If the returned unit is found to be defective in workmanship or component failure, Power Clinic must be given at least one opportunity to repair the unit under warranty. We reserve the right to offer a refund, a replacement, or a credit towards the next repair. Power Clinic does not warranty any application software, user programs or firmware failures. Failures caused by misapplication, improper handling or installation, freight damage, operations above rated capacities, or negligence will not be considered valid warranties.

Warranty returns will be shipped back to you at Power Clinic's expense using UPS Ground or equivalent shipping method. Power Clinic reserves the right to charge evaluation and shipping fees for units deemed fully functional or warranty items found to have been tampered with, altered, or, in the case of a standard warranty, to have failed for different reasons other than the original repair.

Our business is keeping your business in power!

"My experiences with Power Clinic have always been good ones. Power Clinic adds value by allowing us to continue to keep older production machines up and running without having to purchase new expensive power supplies and/or doing redesign in cases where the original power supply is no longer available. Everyone I deal with at Power Clinic has always been very friendly and courteous - much more so than many other vendors I deal with on a regular basis."

"Hi guys - I installed and tested the repaired unit today and it worked just fine! Congratulations… you are the first repair facility to "actually" fix this power supply. I have spent countless hours installing, testing and shipping these units all over the place and, until today, only FedEx has benefited. I put it into stock and it will be one of our spares. I have another one that also needs repair. I just submitted it through your website. Thanks again for a job well done!"

"Just wanted to send you a little note of thanks for the quality job I have received on the power supply units that I have been sending in for repair. Thank you for your quick repair turnaround and the fine quality work I have received. It is a pleasure doing business with a quality, friendly vendor. Once again, thank you."

"Power Clinic has done repairs on a variety of products in a timely manner for us. As the final customer, the power supplies we send for repair are generally obsolete items that we can’t replace and Power Clinic provides valuable support for these aging test platforms. In the many years I have used Power Clinic, there have been only one, maybe two power supplies that were deemed non- repairable….and that’s pretty good. Everyone at PCI has been friendly, professional and courteous and the website makes it convenient to approve quotes."
